Recreation.gov lists boating, swimming, fishing and picnicking among the activities around Dam Site Lake Campground. Start with the official facility information to check access, directions and any current alerts.

The river below the dam is a different setting from the lake shore. If you are planning a river outing or fishing trip, use the Dam Site River information and the applicable fishing rules to plan that part of the day.

Pick an access point, then plan the drive.

Beaver Lake has several recreation areas. Use the actual park, marina or meeting point in your directions, rather than the general lake name. Ask about the route from Bonnybrooke when you reserve, especially if you will be arriving after dark.

Check current opening information, park fees, water conditions and reservations with the facility or operator you plan to use. Arrange any boat rental or guided outing directly with that operator.
